Although they lived in Liverpool, I have just found my 5x g/grandparents Louis ( a plaster figure maker by trade)& Elizabeth (born Ireland) CHIOCHI / CHIOCCHI in Robertson Crt / Circuit in Manchester at the time of the 1841 census. I was wondering if there's anyone with either connection to the name itself or can help with info re same. Also, how does one begin finding out exactly from where in Italy there hailed? Many thanks Lee Melbourne Oz

Hi my name is greg morris and I am tying to find out more about the Truglio family as they were my family I know my great grandfather was stanislaz Truglio who changed his name to Trulio on moving to Britain. I also know they owned an Ice cream business of the name Truglios which was bombed in ww2. The Grannellis then approached my great grandmother and offered to buy what had been salvaged of the ice cream equipment. Ny Grandmother was called Marie and had a sister called Lucy. Lucy never married and remained called Trulio whereas my grandmother married Anthony Morris and Had three children, Maria, Anthony (my father) and Rita. I would appreciate it if anyone with any further information reply to this on the website. Thanks Greg

Dear Sirs, I am undertaking a dissertation focusing on the regeneration of the Ancoats region. I was hoping you might be able to provide me with any information on the shift of buildings previously utilised for commercial use now being developed into residential properties and associated impacts Its an ambitious topic as I am finding out so any help would be extremely grateful.
